I don’t know if it’s a millennial thing, but recently I’ve noticed a large number of resto offering chicken wings on their menu. And a large number of people are loving it!!
Since I’m a big fan of chicken wings, not just the fried ones, but the ones with flavors. I’ve searched for the perfect place that offers flavorful chicken wings near my area. Who doesn’t want their wings to be juicy from the inside and saucy on the outside, right?
So in my quest to find the most delish chicken wings near from where I live, I stumbled upon Akie’s. Their selection of chicken wings definitely did not disappoint!
Check out their menu and choose your flavor!
If you are in the Philippines and you happen to be in the south, particularly in the town of Minglanilla, don’t forget to visit them.
Finally, I had a break from my boring routine. Oh, and I finally quit my job at the hotel. 🙂
So me and my friends stayed at the Imperial Palace Waterpark and Spa. Yes,we did not stay at an actual “palace” where royals live. Sorry if the title caused a little confusion. That was meant to catch your attention ( evil grin ). Well, the main reason for staying at this posh hotel is not just to de stress but to rekindle a friendship that was slowly fading through time. It was so timely that the hotel opened their summer promo, giving guest more value for their money. So we got the “Barkada package” for 15,600 pesos for an overnight stay at their Mactan Garden Suite that’s good for 4 persons which includes breakfast for 4 and 2 sets of their dimsum basket.
( An aerial shot of the hotel. Photo not mine)
During our stay, the weather was not good. There was a typhoon. Yes, we were just so lucky!( Insert sarcasm )
That’s us making sure to have a pic before leaving our temporary sanctuary.
Here, we’re enjoying being lazy at the LAZY POOL. The name speaks for itself. All you need is a floater and good friends to talk to as you cruise to a canal like pool.
One of the hotel’s highlight is the bar at center of the pool.
Be sure to be wearing your wristbands!
For those travelling with kids, this place will be perfect.
The Dimsum Basket that was part of our package.
The adventurer side of me took over. My stay will not be complete without trying their ever so famous water slide!
An earthquake recently hit the Visayas region of the Philippines. The epicenter being in Bohol. I am from Cebu and I felt the shaking and moving of the ground. We were at Magnitude 7 as per the media. As it happened, me and my partner was on our way back to our house when I noticed the houses were slightly moving, then in a split second, the ground moved and the electricity post started to sway. My initial reaction was to find a spot where we can’t be reached by falling debris or worst an electric post made of concrete ( this is the best time to practice what was taught during emergency awareness lecture ). Our neighbors started to get out of their houses, most of them carrying their children. Panic was in our faces. Right after the earthquake, power was out leaving us clueless on the extent of damage of what just happened. It was torture not knowing what’s happening with those affected by the calamity and not knowing what to expect. As of this writing, we are still experiencing aftershocks, some of it are strong reaching to magnitude 4-5. We are still praying and is asking for all of you to do the same. That there will be no more lives lost, no more infrastructure that will be damaged and no more historical landmarks be destroyed.
Here are some of the church in Bohol and Cebu that were damaged.
The historic Sto. Nino Church in Cebu
One of the oldest church in Bohol
Still an Old church in Bohol
It’s devastating to see these images of our church. We are deeply saddened by what happened. Images above are part of Bohol and Cebu’s rich history.
A message has circulated the social media saying ” God was so busy protecting our homes that he forgot his own”. Indeed true, there were close to zero reports ( as far as I know) that houses were damaged. With this, we are still thankful that many are safe.
